Robert Kerrison
Managing Director

With a career in the forest industry spanning decades, Robert founded Orana Enterprises in 2006, bringing a problem-solving mindset shaped by his background as a trade-qualified mechanic. His experience as a service provider, employee, and contractor has given him a deep understanding of the industry's challenges. Robert remains committed to finding mutually beneficial solutions for every obstacle. In recognition of his longstanding contributions to the forest industry, he was inducted into the AFCA Hall of Fame in 2022.
Dwayne Kerrison
General Manager

Dwayne joined Orana in 2016 after working in sales and fleet management. A trade-qualified motor mechanic and auto electrician, he played a key role in implementing new technologies and improving business operations. Over the years, Dwayne worked across various areas of the business before formally stepping into the General Manager role in 2021. His leadership and contributions were recognised in 2024 when he received the Industry Champion Award at the AFCA Gala Dinner.
Bradley “Ernie” Woodfield
Operations Manager

A part of Orana since day one, Ernie started as a field service mechanic before moving into operations management. Having experienced the company's highs and lows, his dedication has been instrumental in Orana’s growth. He now oversees harvesting and transport across the North-East and Southern districts. In addition, Ernie runs his own business, BW Haulage Pty Ltd, which operates a fleet of 11 truck combinations. This venture allows him to maintain his valued contribution to Orana while growing his independent operations.
Francis Richardson
Compliance and Systems Manager

Francis joined Orana in 2018, bringing valuable experience from Trimble Forestry. Initially focused on implementing new technologies, he has since expanded his role to include compliance management, driver training, and customer engagement. He works closely with software providers and ensures smooth delivery record management. His ability to bridge operations and technology has made a lasting impact on the business. In 2024, Francis was recognised with the Excellence in Operations Award at the AFCA Gala Dinner.
Carlos Arnold
North West Regional Supervisor

With extensive experience in forestry and road transport, Carlos oversees Orana’s North West harvesting and transport operations. Originally joining to manage truck scheduling, his expertise and leadership quickly saw him take on a broader supervisory role. Carlos works directly with forest company clients, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues before they escalate. His hands-on approach and industry knowledge make him an invaluable part of the team, helping to maintain Orana’s high standards in the region.
Tania Manktelow
Administration and Business Management

Tania started at Orana as an administration assistant and has since stepped into a key business management role. Her ability to build strong relationships with staff and her fresh perspective have made her an essential part of the company. When our previous Business Manager retired in 2023, Tania seamlessly took on the role, applying her organisational skills and attention to detail to support the company’s continued growth. She plays a crucial role in keeping Orana running smoothly.
Mark Saward
Transport Workshop and Fleet Manager

Mark oversees the maintenance of Orana’s extensive road transport fleet, which now includes more than 55 prime movers plus trailers. With years of experience working with Kenworth trucks, he was the ideal choice to lead this department. Managing a team of mechanics and apprentices, Mark ensures the fleet remains in peak condition. He also works closely with service providers and parts suppliers, making sure Orana’s transport operations remain efficient and reliable across Tasmania.
Matthew Watson
Harvesting Workshop and Fleet Manager

Matthew is responsible for the maintenance of Orana’s harvesting and mobile plant assets – totalling more than 90 pieces of equipment. His role mirrors that of the transport fleet manager but focuses on the forestry machinery essential to Orana’s operations. Managing workshop teams and external service providers, he ensures the fleet is maintained to the highest standards. With his deep industry knowledge and attention to detail, Matthew plays a vital role in keeping Orana’s equipment operating at peak efficiency in the field.

Our team

The backbone of Orana

Beyond our leadership team, Orana is powered by a highly skilled and dedicated workforce of around 115 direct employees, plus subcontractors and transport partners, supporting 140 full-time equivalent positions across Tasmania.

Our maintenance team of 10 skilled mechanics, including experienced professionals and apprentices, keeps our extensive fleet of trucks and harvesting equipment in top condition. Our 35 truck drivers, with deep expertise in log transport, ensure smooth and reliable deliveries. 

Meanwhile, more than 55 machine operators, specialists in timber harvesting, work across our 13 company-run harvest crews, as well as supporting additional haulage contracts for another 13 industry harvest crews. Supporting the entire team, our 15 dedicated admin and management staff provide essential coordination and operational oversight.

We also provide log and mill yard services for a key customer, further expanding our role in the industry.

Every member of our team plays an essential role in Orana’s success, and their hard work was recognised when we won the Excellence in Distribution and Logistics Award at the 2023 Tasmanian Timber Awards. Their dedication, skill, and teamwork drive everything we do.
