Our story
Orana Enterprises began in 2006 with a simple but ambitious vision:
to build a high-quality forestry service that stood apart from the competition.
Founded by Robert Kerrison, whose career in the forest industry stretches back to the mid-1980s, the business was born from a deep understanding of the challenges facing forestry contractors – and a determination to find better ways to overcome them.
Robert’s background as a trade-qualified motorcycle and small engine mechanic meant he approached every challenge as a problem to be solved. That mindset, combined with hard work and adaptability, has driven our growth from a small family operation into one of Tasmania’s leading forestry contractors.
Today, we’re proud to work with valued customers like Forico, Midway Tasmania, and Sustainable Timber Tasmania – strong partnerships that reflect not just the service we provide, but the resilience and adaptability of our entire team.
With nearly 20 years in business, Orana continues to evolve, embracing new challenges and opportunities. But at its heart, it remains a company built on problem-solving, strong relationships, and a commitment to keeping Tasmania’s forestry industry moving forward.
